The IR reforms that will be introduced into Parliament this week have one simple goal – to help drive jobs growth as we move out of the pandemic. These reforms will fix known problems within the IR system that are acting as a handbrake on job growth. It tackles the causes of unemployment and underemployment and the inflexibility that deters employers from taking the risk of employing more people.
This morning I challenged the Labor Party to put the interests of Australian workers above the demands of their union masters.
